Michiyuki - Meisen Silk Kimono - Antique Kimono - Taisho Roman - Retro Kimono - Plain Weave - Red - Black - Silk Fabric

A glossy burgundy michiyuki coat.
This is Meisen silk, popular from the Taisho to early Showa periods.
It has no lining, and it appears the lining was removed later.
There is no damage to the outer fabric, but threads may come loose as shown in image 6.

As this is an antique michiyuki coat, we hope to sell it to someone who understands that it is not in perfect condition.

The buttons are snap buttons.
There are signs of buttons being reattached in two places.

Michiyuki coats are characterized by their square neckline, but I wear mine open like a trench coat.
It can be worn not only over a kimono but also as everyday wear.

After purchasing it at a second-hand shop, I wore it about 3 times. I have since acquired a new and wonderful michiyuki, so I am listing this one for sale with the hope that someone else will love it.

There are faint white stains on the front body and hem, but otherwise it is very clean.
