1980’s Vintage Louis Vuitton Cartouchière Purse

The Louis Vuitton  Cartouchière was introduced by the French fashion house around 1980.  The purse features  a square structure made from the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram coated canvas combined with untreated natural vachetta cowhide leather trim.   The purse utilizes  a full front flap that secures via a unique, tear-drop-shaped leather tab fed through a functional metal buckle closure.   The purse comes  equipped with an adjustable vachetta leather shoulder strap, allowing it to be worn comfortably high or low as either a shoulder bag or a crossbody.    The inner layout consists of a dual-compartment cross-grain leather lining, offering two main sections to separate everyday essentials.  Measurements for the GM size are as follows :  • Width: ~10.6 inches (27 cm) • Height: ~8.3 inches (21 cm) • Depth: ~2.8 inches (7 cm)  This is a vintage purse so there is some wear.
