Antique Italian Milanese Lace Bobbin Flower Mesh Elongated Linen Cloth

An antique from 1800s Italy.
This is a delicate and beautiful, elongated linen cloth featuring a Milanese lace technique using bobbin lace.
Fine ribbons are curved to create floral motifs that gracefully float within the mesh.

The elongated fabric is cut into an oval shape, with Milanese lace inserted inside.
The edges are decorated with bobbin lace in a four-leaf clover pattern.

The beautiful and elegant ivory color is also a charming feature.

The fabric is smooth and supple, with a drape that makes you wonder if it's a silk blend.
The delicate eyelet embroidery along the trim further enhances its delicacy.

The width from the bobbin lace on both ends differs.
One side is finished with hand-sewn overcast stitches, resulting in some distortion.

This piece is over a hundred years old since its creation, but it is in beautiful condition with no noticeable stains, dirt, tears, or rips.

Its elongated shape makes it convenient for decorating narrow spaces, whether placed vertically or horizontally.

It would also be lovely to hang it from furniture or in a space like a ribbon, or to tie and use it as decoration.
