Antique Red Lacquer Net Pattern A-1 Lidded Bowl, Set of 2, Confectionery Bowl, Antiques, Tea Ceremony
A set of two lidded bowls featuring a net pattern drawn in black lacquer on a vermilion lacquer base.
The wooden box is labeled So-shu Amikake Kashiwan (Vermilion Net-Patterned Confectionery Bowls).
Size (amateur measurements):
Diameter: 13.3 cm
Height: 8.5 cm (with lid on)
The wooden box and cloth bag are not included with the product.
As the patterns are hand-drawn, each bowl's design and color may vary slightly.
Natural wood distortions (slight misalignment between the lid and the body).
Unlike modern tableware, they do not fit perfectly.
We have paired them to be as compatible as possible, but please understand.
These bowls appear to be the same as those featured in the Tokyo National Museum of Nature and Science exhibition Kaiseki no Utsuwa (Tableware for Kaiseki).
Net Patterned Kaiseki Utensils (partial)
Made by Nakamura Sotetsu V, Edo period, Kyōwa 1 (1801)
