Vintage Handmade Artisan Eye Patch

The item shown in the image is a handmade headband adorned with a decorative floral or leaf motif (viewed from the back/underside).  Key Characteristics:  Structure: A standard rigid plastic or metal headband base covered in a dark brown satin ribbon or fabric.  Embellishment Backing: A tear-shaped or leaf-shaped piece of soft brown felt used to neatly conceal the attachment points and provide a smooth, comfortable surface against the wearer's head.  Front Details: Peeking out from under the felt edge are overlapping, iridescent white mother-of-pearl or shell pieces, which form the outer decorative design on the front side of the accessory.
