Tunisian Folk Instrument Darbuka Drum Wooden Goat Skin Hand Drum Percussion
Price reduced this week.
This is a Darbuka, an ethnic percussion instrument purchased in Tunisia.
It is a traditional hand drum with a wooden body and goat skin.
I had very few opportunities to use it and kept it carefully at home.
The skin is not torn or loose, and the sound has been tested.
When I tried playing it, referencing YouTube videos,
I was able to produce sounds that seemed to be the four basic notes of the Darbuka:
Do, Tek, Ka, and Pa.
(Based on YouTube tutorials for playing the four basic Darbuka notes)
Purchased in a Tunisian souk (market),
it has a great atmosphere not only as an ethnic instrument but also as an ethnic interior decoration.
Recommended for belly dance accompaniment, percussion performances,
and as interior decor for cafes and multinational restaurants.
