Shakuhachi - Katsuya Me - 1 shaku 8 sun pipe - Kyochiku

Shakuhachi, Kinko style, Katsuya brand, Kyochiku model, size 20, 1 shaku 8 sun (approx. 54.5 cm) bamboo pipe, made of maple wood, in two sections. The mouthpiece has resin reinforcement. The metal band around the pipe has a non-slip finish.

Subjectively, I believe this is a beautiful, well-maintained pipe that is easy to play and produces a clear, responsive sound.
It seems easy to play with stable notes from low to high registers. I believe this is a masterpiece that will respond to your skill level. The Kyochiku is a Showa-era vintage item. #ShakuhachiHowAboutIt

The mouthpiece and the joint are both in good condition. (The joint cork has been newly replaced, so you can use it with confidence.)
