Ceramic Pet Toilet for Chinchillas - Potty Training

This is a chinchilla litter box that I designed myself and had commissioned from a pottery kiln.
My chinchilla learned to use the litter box after I got this one.

The size is 20cm x 15cm, with two walls, each 15cm high.
I had this custom-made because my chinchilla would dig up the bedding and scatter it outside the cage without walls, so I wanted walls.

If you put small animal bedding (like hardwood shavings) inside this, they will recognize it as a litter box and use it!
Chinchillas are less likely to learn to use typical litter boxes with a wire grate on top, and putting things like litter pads inside can be dangerous as they might pull them out and ingest them.
It's safe if you use bedding like hardwood shavings that are safe to eat.

The condition is that there are no scratches or cracks, but there is some urine staining that won't come off.

The color variations are original to the piece.
