Koishiwara Ware Mortar Bowl 18.5cm x 8.5cm

Please read to the end.

Diameter: 18.5 cm
Height: 8.5 cm

Koishiwara Ware
Koishiwara Ware is famous for its tobikan (a decorative technique), but I was drawn to and purchased this piece for its rustic charm and unique character.

As each piece is handmade, the color and pattern will vary.
As it is pottery, crazing will appear with use. (This is not a crack from damage, but rather a pattern that develops over time.)
The frequency of crazing will also vary from piece to piece.

Differences in color are due to variations in the firing process.

Please enjoy this vessel as it changes and evolves with time, with its colors, patterns, and crazing gradually developing.

This plate will make your dishes stand out.
It can be used as a mortar,
a rice bowl,
or simply displayed as a striking piece of art.

I am decluttering as my family has become smaller.
I would like to pass this on to someone who will cherish it.

Please refrain from price negotiations due to shipping costs.

Thank you for looking.
