30-Minute Limited Special Price Wajima Lacquerware Free Cups Set of 2 (Kijiro Lacquer)

Thank you for viewing.

These are exquisite Wajima-nuri free cups (set of 2) from Ishikawa Prefecture's Urushi no Kobo Wajimataio, a pinnacle of Japanese traditional craftsmanship.

Crafted from carefully selected natural zelkova wood, each piece is meticulously finished over several months by artisans using the traditional Hon-kataji technique and abundant natural lacquer. This is a genuine masterpiece.

Luxurious Features Unique to These Cups:

Exquisite Kijiro-nuri Finish:
Unlike standard black or vermilion lacquer, this technique involves refining raw lacquer directly from the漆 tree to remove excess moisture, creating a translucent Suki-urushi (clear lacquer). This technique allows the beautiful, deep wood grain of the zelkova to subtly emerge, developing a rich character with continued use.

Supreme Warmth That Fits Comfortably in Your Hand:
The moist, gentle touch and soft mouthfeel unique to genuine Wajima-nuri cannot be replicated by metal or glass cups, creating a uniquely relaxing experience.

Versatile Free Cup Design:
Perfect for sake like beer and shochu, as well as hot coffee and Japanese tea, these cups can be used year-round for various purposes. Their excellent heat retention and insulation keep cold drinks from warming up quickly and hot drinks from becoming too hot to hold.
