Vintage 1940s Monopoly White Box Game, Parker Trading Game, Grand Hotel Houses

Vintage Monopoly Board Game, Early Parker Brothers White Box, Linen Board, Rare / early edition. Early Parker Brothers Monopoly “#9 white box” edition with removable money bank insert, heavy leather-textured folding board, original paperwork, and a large assortment of early game pieces. Based on collector research, this appears to be a later 1930s to early 1940s version featuring the “A Parker Trading Game” wording, patent number 2,026,082, and Salem, Mass., New York, Chicago markings. This set includes the original money tray/bank insert, title deed cards, Chance and Community Chest cards, “Rules for Short Games of Monopoly” pamphlet, additional Parker Brothers advertising booklet, many green houses, and both standard red hotels along with “Grand Hotel” marked wooden hotels. The metal tokens appear partially combined from multiple older sets over time, with duplicates present, though desirable early pieces including the lantern, cannon, and rocking horse are included. Condition: Heavy age and use wear throughout consistent with an approximately 80+ year old game. Extensive old tape repairs to corners and edges of both the lid and lower tray. Box lid has staining, scuffing, edge wear, toning, and handling marks. Board has age toning, light discoloration, fold wear, and signs of long-term play and storage. Components show mixed age/use wear and may not be fully original to one another. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description. NPK(psh)-
