YAMAHA Long Cornet YCR-232, Currently Junk Item

This is a used Yamaha long cornet, model YAMAHA YCR-232.

It has been a long time since YAMAHA stopped selling long cornets. While I believe their value is gradually increasing, this instrument is in very poor condition, so I am offering it at a low price.

As you can see, the condition is quite bad, but it is still playable.
There are no issues with the movement of the slides or pistons, and it can likely be used to some extent for practice.

This instrument was likely used as school equipment, so it is in rough condition with solder joint failures, warping, dents, scratches, peeling clear lacquer, and rust. However, because it has been played, it has less resistance and should be relatively easy to produce a sound.
There is a misalignment in the main tuning slide (photo 7) due to a solder joint failure (photo 8), which may cause creaking when holding the instrument or resonance during performance.

Would this be suitable for outdoor performances where instruments are exposed to harsh conditions, for beginner practice, or as a display piece?

A worn-out case with a hole in the side (photo 9) will be included to protect the instrument. A mouthpiece is not included, but a vintage YAMAHA 9 mouthpiece can be added for an additional ¥1000.

As you can see, this is a junk item in terrible condition, so please only purchase if you understand this. It is being sold as-is.
Please feel free to ask any questions in the comments.

This item is also listed on other sites, so it will be removed from sale immediately if purchased elsewhere. Thank you for your understanding.
