--------------------

When you think of tarps, many people probably think of Arai Tent's models. They are a representative brand of tarps, gaining attention not only in Japan but also overseas. Cocoheli has released a special order model based on Arai Tent's Bivouac Tarp 1 Long, 1-2 Person model. The original Bivouac Tarp 1 Long is a tarp large enough for two people to lie down in, and when set up, it offers a spacious area of 80cm (width) x 210cm (depth) x 90cm (height). In terms of size, it's not much different from a 1-2 person tent. The main body material is made of 15-denier nylon fabric woven with 40-denier threads in a grid pattern, a ripstop fabric said to have the same strength as 30-denier fabric.

The Cocoheli Original Tarp is an enhanced version of this strong and spacious tarp. As a special order model, the fabric thickness has been increased from 15 denier to 28 denier, making it a stronger tarp. While the Arai Tent version weighs 240g, the Cocoheli model is slightly heavier at 261g, but it is a model that is easy to handle even for those who are not very experienced.
