* Stockmeier, the performer, was a scholarly musician who served as a professor at the Cologne University of Music. His performances are characterized by a calm, natural style that faithfully conveys the structure of Bach's music rather than flashiness. This complete collection includes not only major masterpieces but also works suspected of being misattributions and fragments, making it a valuable resource for understanding the entirety of Bach's organ music. A unique feature is that Stockmeier, himself a composer, has completed and performed fragments such as the Fantasie in C major BWV 573 by himself.
