Published by the Montana Historical Society in 1971, includes both color and black and white photographs, 28 pages. “Koerner was born in Lun, Germany [in] 1878. Before he was 20, [he] went to Chicago, where, with courage probably born of the necessity to eat, he approached [the] managing editor of the Tribune . . . . He was hired for the art department at $5 a week. He was instructing a class in illustration when he met Lillian M. Lusk. They were married [in] 1903. In 1907, he was brought to the attention of . . . Howard Pyle, the father of American illustration. By the 1920’s, he was painting with strokes so sure that there was never any painting over.” —from the book New to Poshmark? There is some yellowing of the pages—or it was printed on ivory paper. Please look at the photos as they are a part of the description. I have a non-smoking, pet-friendly home.
